# Before coming to the cinema she was doing modelling. She has done modeling for famous brands like fair and lovely.

# She came to lime light with her tamil debut movie “Unnai Thedi” with Ajith Kumar in 1999. She was just 19 years old when did the film.the film went on to be a major blockbuster of 1999.

# She also tried her luck in Telugu film industry, Hindi films but returned to Tamil film industry soon.

# She was a part of Mani Ratnam’s stage show, Netru, Indru, Naalai.
